Thanks HP for a great, AND FREE, scan App. I went to my computer' scan folder and there each document had been saved to a separate jpeg. Delighted, I stacked several documents on my printers from feed and each document was scanned. The Easy Scan App reappeared and when the scan completed and displayed in the App, I clicked on "Send" which opened a save window where I selected a Folder for storing all future scans. Once completed, a document that I had previously placed on my printer started being scanned.

Suggestion to retype it - works fine for those of us who actually learned out to touch type and can do it with speed - without looking at the keyboard - may be faster than scanning and adjusting - as in my case it scans to jpeg then you do the ocr scan and save it to text and then open the text file in pages and then have to readjust indents and bullets.I downloaded HP Easy Scan to my new iMac Pro and once the download completed and the App opened, I went to devices on my computer and clicked on my office 'HP OfficeJet Pro 8600' Icon - immediately my computer started downloading a new print driver file. It probably will depend on the typewriter. So if the OP has a scanner the OP should give it a test to see if that works.

I then tried my scanner OCR software - (part of the canon scanner package) and that has a plus - even though the page was off kilter on scan the OCR read did adjust it to read the text and correctly load it into a text document (.TXT) I also did this with a page from the Panther install guide I happened to have on hand - and that also read in okay even with variable size type.

I have some documents in PDF - so I copied the text and pasted it into Pages - in that case variable print came out really bad - but the document that looked as though it had been originally typed - came out perfect and I could insert text.
